This tantalising taste of Zimbabwe takes you into the world renowned Hwange NP and to the iconic Victoria Falls.

Ivory Lodge (Hwange) and Bayete Lodge (Victoria Falls) are your selected lodges from where you will have access to excellent game viewing and the many invigorating activities in and around Victoria Falls.

Day 1: Welcome to Zimbabwe – you will be met at the airport and transferred by road to Ivory Lodge. The road transfer will take approximately 2 hours More...

Ivory Lodge, located in the forestry area on the outskirts of Hwange National Park, offers family-friendly safari experiences and is famous for its exhilarating up-close sightings of the Presidential Elephant Herd.

The Lodge comprises of a main thatched dining and lounge area overlooking a guest swimming pool and overlooking a watering hole which is frequented by elephants, predators and several plains game species. The rooms themselves are elegantly built on stilted wooden platforms offering elevated views of the open floodplain and watering hole in front of camp.

Day 4 – 6: Victoria Falls

Today after breakfast and your morning activity you will be driven to Victoria Falls. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours.

Bayete Guest Lodge Victoria Falls offers comfortable and affordable accommodation in the heart of the Victoria Falls residential area. Bayete Guest Lodge Victoria Falls is situated 3km from Victoria Falls Town, and 22km from Victoria Falls International Airport.

Bayete Guest Lodge is a family run lodge that offers 25 rooms that are set in a lush tropical garden. Central to the lodge is the large teardrop swimming pool, which is hugged by the Caldecott Dining Boma and the Ingwezi Tavern. The Ingwezi Tavern, steeped in history and character, is central to the communal area where guests are able to gather, have refreshments and socialize.

Day 5: Guided tour of Victoria Falls – this is truly an awe-inspiring experience – the sight, the sound, the smell; the humbling feeling that here indeed is Nature’s Supreme Masterpiece. No photograph can begin to depict the reality…and nothing prepares you for your first sight. The Victoria Falls reaches its zenith in about May each year.

En route, you will be taken past the ‘Big Tree’ where you may stop and take photos.

You will be accompanied through the Rainforest by one of the qualified Guides who will give a brief history of the Falls themselves as well as detailing the flora, fauna, bird & wildlife and other points of interest. Guides are also happy to assist clients with photographs whilst visiting this most spectacular of waterfalls. Raincoats are provided when needed.

Day 5: Dinner Cruise on Zambezi Reflections – this afternoon you will be collected by Zambezi Reflections and transferred to the river. On arrival, you will embark on a dinner cruise!

Enjoy the best of both worlds, a spectacular Zambezi sunset cruise followed by a four-course meal, freshly prepared on-board by our chefs, and served to you while cruising along the river with the sounds of the African bush providing your background music.

Day 6: Farewell to Zimbabwe

You will be driven back to Victoria Falls airport to catch your international flight home.

This amazing holiday takes you to two outstanding camps in Hwange and the Victoria Falls. You won’t be disappointed.

Day 1: Welcome to Zimbabwe – on arrival you will be met by Safari Logistics staff and transferred to your light aircraft, the flight to Manga airstrip will take 40 minutes, on arrival Verney’s staff will be waiting and will transfer you to camp, this road transfer is treated as a game drive and can take up to 1 hour depending on what you see. Day 1 – 3:  Spectacular Safari in Hwange

Verney’s is a private concession area in a typically un-used part of Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. It is a beautiful amphitheatre fringed by teak forest that opens onto an impressive waterhole that is a playground to the famous elephant herds of Hwange. Verney’s joined the Machaba Safaris group in 2017 with a totally clean piece of unspoilt wilderness.

Verney’s Camp is being built in keeping with Machaba Safaris’ winning recipe that matches the timeless wonder of a classic safari to Africa, aimed at the adorable luxury travel markets worldwide for both the novice and the well-seasoned safari traveller.

Day 4 – 6:  The Mighty Victoria Falls

Today, after breakfast and your morning activity you will be transferred back Manga airstrip and flown back to Victoria Falls airport on arrival Victoria Falls River Lodge guide will be waiting and you will be transferred by road to the jetty, this road transfer takes approximately 30 minutes.  On arrival you will have a welcome drink and board your boat, the boat ride to the Island takes about 20 minutes.

The Victoria Falls River Lodge luxury tents are nestling on the banks of the mighty Zambezi, one of the most famous rivers in the world.
Built upon raised decks, and sheltered by an extensive thatched roof, the 13 luxurious ‘tents’ are tastefully decorated in earthly hues with liberal splashes of crisp white, soothing sage and duck egg blue.

Each offers a larger than king size bed (twin bed configurations are also possible in all rooms), comfortable sitting area, indoor and outdoor showers and a private viewing deck with plunge pool whereupon guests can sit comfortably and watch the hippos wallowing.

The only thing that resembles a tent in these 5 star rooms is the canvas on the outside.

Day 5: Guided tour of Victoria Falls
